Just a little more time

Hello, I’m sorry for going away again. I didn’t mean to do this to everyone. I don’t want to go too far into personal details, but at some point my stress and mental stability reached their tipping point, and I tried to force myself to be better, which utterly backfired and I shut down fully.

VioletCascade isn’t a business it exists because I want to make these products for others and myself. I’m not for profit, I’m for making things that make people happy. I promised I would make these pins, and you bet I will! For the long wait, there are going to be additional out-of-pocket surprises for everyone. I just want to do what I’d planned before becoming ill and hope it’ll create a good experience or as much as I possibly can to make up for being gone.

I’ve got strawberry patterned tape and pink cardboard boxes ready to go as soon as I receive the pins and other items! I’m a little bit of a perfectionist, and I want these things to bring joy and not be filled with negativity. While I have others around me to help, there’s not exactly anyone who can jump in and inform you when things go wrong, and this is something I realise should be disclosed or that I need to fix in future campaigns. 

Additionally, I got a little bit too caught up in the news, which didn’t greatly help my mental health pertaining to convincing myself that the pins had any value with what’s going on currently around the world. But hopefully they can be a little bit of joy in all this.

I had a couple of representative changes at the factory, which delayed the production of samples further after they experienced flooding and staff changes. This caused significant disruption to the campaign timeline. The good news is that the new representative is proving to share better quality and timely responses to changes, so we should progress at a better speed now!

When I took on this project, I initially thought I was in a good place mentally to start working on my business again, only to realize what I’d experienced had left me far more anxious than I’d realized. It’s not realistic for me to assume everyone is going to come after me with pitchforks and torches for a couple of missed updates or if I update too often, but I can’t shake the feeling whenever I do send out an update—regardless of how long it’s been. That shouldn’t be on all of you, who’ve been so supportive and kind.

Ultimately, it culminates in me feeling guilty for not being able to achieve all I set out to do. Combined with frequent stress-related illness and migraines, I just sort of stepped back for a while to refocus on what I can do for everyone.

I have enough from the campaign to create additional mini pins (Honeypurr Cat, Kitant, and a Sourpuss), which I shall add as an extra freebie. I’ll also see what else I’m able to add as goodies, especially for those on the Pawtybox and people who’ve spent over a certain amount.

I haven’t charged cards yet and will wait until things are ready the update will be titled accordingly!

Due to my manufacturer having issues, it took until now to get the sample images and the pins at a quality I’m happy with.


Honey Purrs: I was hoping to have it transparent, but I’ve settled on pearl and will have screen printing over the top!

Don’t worry about how blobby they look; it’s simply a color sample, and I will personally inspect each one before shipping. c:

More designs are coming, I promise!

Again, sorry for the silence. Please know I’ll never abandon supporters, and you’ll all get everything pledged for and more. I just fell under the weight of the pedestal my brain placed this project on and didn’t even notice I’d done it until it was too late.

Hi everyone hope you’ve all been well! 
I don’t like putting out updates that don’t contain much but I hope this is reassuring to those of you who are wondering where everything is at because i myself finally have information to share! my medication hasn’t really helped me to be able to work on too many new things yet which initially it was fine and working but ended up draining me a lot this is why i haven’t charged cards or closed orders. I still believe I’ll be able to add more designs to the store and survey very soon! I appreciate everyone’s patience immensely!

So my manufacturer has been keeping me informed about the current situation there a couple floods have meant the process has been a lot slower than usual but they’re currently working on screen printing the samples! Here’s some additional photos, note not screenprinted and definitely over sanded and some other flaws which will be fixed in production!

Super excited to have them in person!

Another update on something which I’m unsure of what I should do, I have these two plush in production currently waiting on samples for them too. They’ll be 27cm including the ears and tail so will fit most cotton doll clothes which i think will be adorable! 

But I’m wondering if i should add them to the store as a preorder or run a small campaign with them of course I want the physical samples shown and confirmed before all this but I do have a retail store already lined up for a few!
My apologies if I’m ever too quiet about updates or what’s going on I get anxious that I’m doing too many and not enough at the same time and know everyone leads busy lives! Please know VioletCascade as a business is for making cute stuff not profit and I’ll always make sure everyone gets their order please never worry about that even if things take longer than planned!

Hi so everyone has been filling out the surveys it’s been going pretty well with just a few people remaining! I’ll be adding more to the store soon this will be its own update to let everyone know though c:

But I wanted to share current pictures I’ve gotten from my manufacturer please know these are only
Samples and nowhere near done they’re made for colour selection reasons and making sure to fix before larger production! 
Currently I’m thinking I like the strawpurries having the pink metal (it’s pink or will look pink the lighting + no screen printing throws it to a red in the image. the sugar ants I’m going to change to black nickel instead of blue even if the blue looks super cool with the transparent backing the ants will look better in black. 
Obviously the bee kitty on the collaboration pin is filled with the transparent when it should be the solid yellow. The Strawpurry tea “green” on the inside cup is much too green and the honey purrs blue looks too blue but this could be lighting based and because it looks like it wasn’t completed before the photo.

Anyone have any thoughts?/ suggestions ;v;
Also sorry if i missed anyone’s comment on the previous update it’s difficult only being able to reply to the first comment 😅

Surveys and some pin previews!!

Hi everyone I launched the smoke screen and just couldn’t wait so I’ve launched all the surveys now!!
In good news I’m feeling much better and am on a medication that’s helping so far.

Important:

To those who backed by adding add ons and missed “pawty favour tier” I messed up during my brain fog it was supposed to be a limited number tier event for my birthday but if your campaign order was over $110AUD i’ll be treating it as a Pawty favour box and add one of everything even though the survey won’t state this because I honestly forgot but I’ll inform the backerkit staff!
(Please note this is applied for the campaign funds not preorder store)

I’ve added the special colour of the collaboration pin to the preorder store alongside Rose the bunnerfly any additional pins will have a minimum unlock of 5 orders just so I can guarantee enough interest in the designs not for funding specifically! 


Please know I will balance orders out and no one will leave empty handed, if I have to eat costs i will I was hoping to plan through and avoid this happening but I hate to leave anyone upset so if it’s extra pins, stickers or faster shipping don’t be surprised! C: 

Everyone has been incredibly kind and supportive and I’m so looking forward to my next campaign which will be the long anticipated Momo plushie!
